Legal age to get a hotel room in North Carolina.?

I am planning a quick short trio to NC, Havelock to be specific, and i am wondering what the legal age to get a hotel room is. i've been looking all over google but i find no answers! i know some states the legal age is 18 and others it's21. PLEASE HELP! i dont want to plan a trip, and then not be able to get a hotel room. thanks
