Whats the purpose of this vitamin chlorella?

Chlorella algae did show anti tumour properties when given to lab mice so that is why so many people take it. It was also considered a viable food source. I dont think personally they don anything but then I dont believe in taking half a dozen pills every day when the person could just eat the right foods. Thats just my opinion though.
