Applying for a job as a waitress?

I'm 16 years old and I'm applying for a job as either a waitress or a hostess for my local Applebees. The application asks the desired wage per week, and I don't know what a reasonable amount would be. I plan to work a lot over the summer, but when school tarts the hours would be cut down. Is there anyone experienced in this field who can tell be a good wage per week? Thanks!
